Hi, I’m Frank Vignola—and I’d like to personally invite you to join me on a ten-week musical journey through the timeless works of Duke Ellington, one of the greatest composers in jazz history.

Over the course of ten weeks, we’ll explore ten essential Ellington tunes, building skills, deepening musical understanding, and most importantly—having a great time playing. Each week, we’ll learn a new song and go deeper with it: improvisation ideas, phrasing, swing feel, rhythm techniques, and tasteful expression. As the weeks progress, the material intensifies—giving you the chance to grow in confidence and creativity.

Each week originally featured a live Zoom jam session (recorded and included in your download) where we put one song under the microscope and jam together for a full hour. You’ll see me comping rhythm while you solo, giving you the chance to really apply what you’ve learned in a realistic playing context.
